Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines prohibited uses of GatesFlow's services. This policy is incorporated into and part of our Terms of Service. Violation of this policy may result in suspension or termination of your account.

2. Prohibited Activities

2.1 Illegal Activities

You may not use our Services to:

  • Violate any local, state, national, or international law or regulation
  • Engage in or promote illegal activities
  • Violate intellectual property rights, including copyright, trademark, or trade secret infringement
  • Distribute or store illegal content or materials
  • Engage in fraud, identity theft, or money laundering

2.2 Harmful Content

You may not upload, transmit, or distribute content that:

  • Is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, or sexually explicit
  • Promotes violence, terrorism, or illegal activities
  • Contains hate speech or discriminates based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or age
  • Harasses, threatens, or bullies individuals or organizations
  • Contains malware, viruses, or other harmful code
  • Exploits or harms minors

2.3 Security Violations

You may not:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, networks, or other users' accounts
  • Circumvent or disable security features
  • Conduct security vulnerability testing without prior written authorization
  • Use automated tools to scrape, data mine, or extract data
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Services or servers
  • Introduce viruses, worms, malware, or other malicious code
  • Engage in denial-of-service attacks or similar activities

2.4 Abuse and Spam

You may not:

  • Send unsolicited bulk messages or spam
  • Use the Services to conduct phishing or social engineering attacks
  • Create multiple accounts to abuse free trials or evade restrictions
  • Engage in any activity that abuses or excessively uses system resources
  • Use the Services to operate mailing lists without proper consent

2.5 Misrepresentation

You may not:

  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Falsely state or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
  • Use misleading or deceptive email addresses or identifiers
  • Engage in fraudulent activities or misrepresent your identity

2.6 Service Abuse

You may not:

  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Services without authorization
  • Use the Services to provide similar services to third parties
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble our software
  • Remove or modify any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
  • Use the Services in any way that competes with GatesFlow

3. Monitoring and Enforcement

While we do not monitor all user content, we reserve the right to:

  • Investigate potential violations of this policy
  • Remove or disable access to content that violates this policy
  • Suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy
  • Report illegal activities to law enforcement
  • Cooperate with legal investigations

4. Consequences of Violations

Violations of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in:

  • Warning notice
  • Temporary suspension of account access
  • Permanent termination of your account
  • Removal of prohibited content
  • Legal action
  • Reporting to law enforcement

The severity of consequences depends on the nature and severity of the violation. We reserve the right to take immediate action for serious violations without prior notice.

5. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violations of this policy, please report them to:

Please include:

  • Description of the violation
  • Date and time of occurrence
  • Any supporting evidence or documentation

6. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the Services. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
