Visitor check-in for a multi-tenant building in Detroit, from the entrance to the tenants inside.
The Challenge
A building with several tenants sees contractors, drivers and guests arriving all day, and each tenant wants to know who is coming to see them. A visitor should not have to give the same details twice, once at the building entrance and again at a tenant's reception.
The Solution
METD runs a GatesFlow visitor kiosk at the building. When the building asked to move check-in to the guard point, the kiosk was made portable so the guard can take it to visitors instead of sending them inside to register.
The Results
The kiosk handles steady daily traffic at the building, and check-in happens where the guard already meets visitors.
