AI Quoting · free for job shops

Drawing in.
Priced quote out.

Drop the drawing your customer sent. GatesFlow reads it, works out the process and the tooling, and prices it with your shop's rates — on a quote you can change line by line and send as a PDF or a link.

Everything an estimator reads off the print.

The drawing is read for what it says and what it costs to make — then laid out as the quote your customer gets.

Title block and revision

Part and drawing number, revision, customer and the notes — the quote is filed under the part it is for.

Dimensions and GD&T

Every dimension, tolerance and feature control frame, with the characteristics that drive cost and inspection.

Material and thickness

The material spec, gauge and finish or plating note — priced per kilogram with yield and scrap.

Process and routing

Stamping, laser, bending and machining steps with their cycle times, run on your shop's rates.

Tooling

Dies, fixtures and check gauges, billed once or amortized into the piece price — itemized if you want.

The price build-up

Material, labor, machine, scrap, SG&A and profit — per piece and per year, at the volumes on the drawing.

Every number stays yours.

The quote opens as the document your customer receives, and it edits like a spreadsheet: change a cycle time, add an operation, swap the material price or itemize the tooling, and the price follows. Set your labor rate and markups once — every new quote starts from them.

Send it the way your customer wants it.

A PDF

A clean, multi-page quote with the drawing, the process and the price build-up — or just the cover page.

A link

Your customer opens the quote in a browser — with the 3D model when you quoted from one. No account, no download, and the link expires when you say.

Questions

What files can I upload?

PDF drawings, scans and images (PNG, JPG, TIFF), STEP and IGES models, and ZIP packages. A package of up to 10 documents — say a presentation PDF and its STEP models — is read as one quote, with every part costed against the others.

What kinds of parts does it price?

Stamped and laser-cut sheet metal is priced from a full process and tooling model: blanking, forming, progressive or transfer dies, presses and strip layout. Machined and other parts are priced from their routing on your rates. Where the drawing leaves something open, the quote says what it assumed.

How accurate is it?

Treat it as a strong first pass from an estimator who never gets tired: every assumption is on the page and every number can be changed. Set your labor rate and markups once, and the quote is priced the way your shop prices.

Can I change the quote?

Yes — it opens as the document your customer receives, and it edits like a spreadsheet. Change a cycle time, add or delete an operation, swap the material price or itemize the tooling, and the price follows.

Who can see my customers' drawings?

Only the people in your account. Drawings and quotes are kept in your organization's private storage and are never shown to other GatesFlow customers. A quote leaves only when you send it as a PDF or a link.

What happens after 10 reads in a month?

Your quotes keep opening, changing and sending as usual; new reads start again on the first of the next month. Paid plans with more reads are on the way — if you need more now, talk to us.

Do I need the rest of GatesFlow?

No. AI Quoting works on its own. When you want the CRM, purchasing or production on the same data, they are part of the same platform.
